Arts In Health program engages artists for Cooma and Griffith projects

At Health Infrastructure, we believe exposure to the arts has a profoundly beneficial impact, improving patient health and wellbeing while supporting the art community.

Through our Arts In Health program, we engage artists and use all art forms including visual, performing, dramatic, literature and heritage arts to connect health services and the communities they serve.

Health Infrastructure is encouraging local artists and photographers to contribute to art displays at the Griffith Base Hospital Redevelopment and Cooma Hospital Redevelopment projects.

Griffith Base Hospital Redevelopment is inviting the community to share photography celebrating the local landscape and natural environment, with the winning entries to be displayed in the Hospital’s Rehabilitation and Aged Care Inpatient Unit.

The competition runs until 28 May 2023. Entry forms and terms and conditions are available on the project website.

Local artists from Cooma and surrounding communities are being invited to contribute to the artwork planned for Cooma Hospital Redevelopment, with the opportunity to be featured in the region’s health facility. The arts initiative is an exciting opportunity to celebrate local creative talent, showcase Cooma’s culture, and enhance the experience of staff, patients and visitors.

The closing date for artwork submissions is 5pm Wednesday 3 May 2023.

Further information including project timelines and the Expression of Interest submission form can be found here.
