New Minister visits Griffith Base Hospital Redevelopment

Health Infrastructure Chief Executive, Rebecca Wark joined Minister for Health and Minister for Regional Health, Ryan Park on tours of two regional hospital redevelopments in Griffith and Leeton today.

Project site tours and meeting dedicated healthcare staff are top of the agenda for the Minister for Health and Regional Health. With the Government prioritising access to high-quality health services and facilities for people in regional NSW, Mr Park was able to see first-hand what is planned for service delivery at the new Griffith facility.

The Griffith Base Hospital Redevelopment, due for completion in 2025, will ensure the people of Griffith have access to fit-for-purpose healthcare services closer to home, including a new Emergency Department, operating theatres, medical imaging and more.

At Leeton Hospital, Mr Park was able to inspect works on an almost-complete upgrade project being delivered by Murrumbidgee Local Health District.

With the new NSW Cabinet sworn in last week, Health Infrastructure looks forward to working closely with the Minister for Health, Ryan Park as well as Minister for Mental Health, Rose Jackson and Minister for Medical Research, David Robert Harris in delivering enhanced healthcare outcomes for communities across NSW.

The Griffith Base Hospital Redevelopment is being delivered in partnership with Murrumbidgee LHD. Leeton Hospital Upgrade is being delivered by Murrumbidgee LHD.
